Volbeat publishes his first album, The Strength / The Sound / The Songs in 2005. With a thousand copies sold in 2003 for his first demo, he signed at Rebel Monster Records, a sub-label of Mascot Records. Singer Michael Poulsen, no longer in tune with this music and this type of scene, decided to change the style of the group in 2000 and it is this choice that definitely launches his career. The penultimate album Vol.beat, published in 1997, gives birth to the future name of the group. His first appearance was under the name of Dominus with a death metal label in 1991.
